See the strings
Cui bono? Who benefits? The Mirror's Puppet reveals the unsettling answer through a case example repugnantly more common than exceptional.
"Once you know what to look for in the game, it's like being able to see the strings on the marionettes; and once you see the strings, you can't go back to a time when you didn't know they were there."
"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." — Buckminster Fuller
Puppet shows
The Mirror's Puppet is a narrative recounting one parent's struggles to save his daughter. Having his daughter taken from him at birth instigated a fight to free her from an environment of drugs, violence, sexual predation and a callous disregard for her best interests.
Personally subjected to parental alienation, judicial bias, wrongful incarcerations and various civil rights violations while attempting to save his daughter, he persevered. Eventually, the one parent's pure focus on his child's best interests prevailed over the combined efforts of the other parent and a system hell-bent on keeping parent and child apart to serve their own self-interests.
Annually, the Family Law System churns individuals and their families through a court system designed to maintain a multi-billion dollar industry. Not to maintain the families.
From Rod's journals
"The Mirror's Puppet isn't written for the sole purpose of relaying this ordeal to the masses. This book's purpose is to edify the masses by relaying this ordeal. To act as a change agent for the betterment of society. As adults we hold the key to our children's futures, yet more times than I care to witness, that key is being left off our key chain of life."
"Through the course of this ordeal it dawned on me that it was other people's agendas which were being forced into my life and my daughter's life. Those agendas weren't in the best interests of either of us. Only the individuals forcing the agendas were the ones benefitting. My naïveté regarding 'the system' was exposed from Day One. I was like a sheep taken to the slaughter."
"To this day, I take full, 100% responsibility for my decisions. The only regret I have is that I couldn't get the mother the help she needed."
"Knowing my daughter was facing an unsafe environment every day created a sense of urgency to remove her from harm's way. Except every entity turned to for 'help' created more problems than solutions. Even with hardcore evidence, those with the authority to do the right thing failed to do anything. Except make it worse."
"I was told to shut up. I was ignored. I was straight-out lied to. I was being deliberately stonewalled. I was FALSELY IMPRISONED! TWICE! It's one thing for the situation to be an isolated incident. It's another thing for it to go on for 10 years and for multiple people to play the same game."
"Why were these people acting this way? Why weren't they serving my daughter's best interests? Most importantly, why were they preventing me from protecting her? Why? Why? Why? The Mirror's Puppet, in effect, will explain why. You may not know why at the moment it's happening, but one thing is for sure: the reason is eventually revealed to you. May the revelation come to you as well. May you then share your findings!"
The system is broken
It doesn't need to be fixed. It needs to be replaced. Or, rather, just apply two simple principles in every case:
- The Best Interests of the Child. In true form. Not the false-belief version.
- The good old U.S. Constitution. Applied legally. Not subjectively.
